Do Tight Hip Flexors Correlate To Glute Weakness

Jul 18, 2016

People that sit most of the day are prone to tight hip flexors due to the sitting position which shortens the hip flexor muscles (iliopsoas muscle).  This repetitive postural position eventually leads to chronically tight hip flexors and a inherent weakness of the glute muscles (gluteus maximus muscle).  This can lead to hip pain, back pain, and glute pain just to name a few.  Our chiropractic treatment is combined with specific rehab and active release techniques to lengthen the tight muscles and strengthen areas of weakness so that not only is pain relieved but the problem that triggered the pain is corrected.  ARTICLE
